Do you travel only with your backpack?
Does it contain your tablet and smartphone and a couple of chargers?
Do you always look for Wi-Fi to upload your photos? Did you asked yourself a question: where to stay in Jerusalem and chose to stay The Post Hostel?
Well, congratulation! You are a flashpacker.
You are a backpacker but with more style and probably a little bit more money in your wallet.
Most flashpackers document their journey live using social media.
Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest are the popular ones.
The technological revolution changed our way of living and our way of traveling.
Not only our backpack content but also the way we book our flights, hotels and attractions.
Everything is quicker, cheaper and easier.
All of the information is at the palm of our hand and we don’t really need a full guided tour for our entire stay,
a couple of hours will do. We look for recommendations on-line using TripAdvisor or
other applications and of course we leave an evaluation, if it was good or awful.
There are Some characteristics of the backpacker that have more or less remained at the flashpacker.
Both prefer to not spend too much on accommodation,
meet people from all over the world and experience the local atmosphere.
So what are you? A Backpacker or a Flashpacker?
