The hostel trend in Israel didn’t skip Jerusalem, only here they did it big time. A central location in Jerusalem, which served as the British Mandate historic post office, with tourists from around the world, cool rooms and young design. At the Jerusalem hostel – Post Hostel, they took the old post office and turned it into a stylish hostel. The location is perfect in the city center with all the advantages of it, walking distance from the Old City, from restaurants and bars and all major attractions including the Mahane Yehuda Market and the tram station.
After passing through the charming hallway with red doors we reached room 11. We were impressed as soon as we entered the room, this is a gallery room which is considered the highest level in the hostel. Climbing up a wooden staircase leads to the upper floor with a double bed and TV, and downstairs a sofa and another TV. It is possible to stay in a dorm room with 4-12 beds and a private room for up to 4 people. All rooms have a shower and toilet in the room and not at the end of the hall as you would think. Our room does not fall from a high-class boutique hotel or luxurious bed and breakfast.
The Lounge: We went out to review the spacious lounge area and again admired the original style. This is an area that changes throughout the day and night. During the day breakfast is served there in the morning, later on, you can chill in different spots, read or chat with friends, and in the evening a bar and live shows on the main stage. Ideal for meeting tourists from all around the world.
